Some customers may experience a delay when trying to create a new email address, or alias, for their Outlook.com account. While these Microsoft accounts work in other Microsoft products (e.g. OneDrive, Windows, Xbox), they are non-functional when visiting Outlook.com. The user is using Office 365 running in cached mode, anything over a year old is moved to his Archive folder (.PST). You might try renaming the pst and having future items go to a new pst. Have the original available to the user through an archive folder. Sorry, I forgot to mention I’ve ran a full and quick repair but hasn’t fixed the issue.
